Note: These guidelines apply to a typical Shabbat (e.g., not Rosh Chodesh) with an average-length Torah reading. A long Torah portion or special holiday insertions can add 20 to 40 extra minutes to the Shabbat service.

Additional Notes:
  • As a traditional minyan, Hebrew is our language of prayer. The one prayer that we recite in English is the prayer for the government of the United States.
  • It is our custom that the Shaliach Tzibur leads all of the mourner's kaddish along with any mourners.
  • Adding or omitting the Imahot in the Amidah is at the discretion of the Shaliach Tzibur. The community has chosen a version from Siddur Sim Shalom, Shabbat Edition as the model for the opening bracha.
