Note: These guidelines apply to a typical Shabbat (e.g., not Rosh Chodesh) with an average-length Torah reading. A long Torah portion or special holiday insertions can add 20 to 40 extra minutes to the Shabbat service.
Additional Notes:
-
As a traditional minyan, Hebrew is our language of prayer. The one prayer that we recite in English is the prayer for the government of the United States.
-
It is our custom that the Shaliach Tzibur leads all of the mourner's kaddish along with any mourners.
-
Adding or omitting the Imahot in the Amidah is at the discretion of the Shaliach Tzibur. The community has chosen a version from Siddur Sim Shalom, Shabbat Edition as the model for the opening bracha.
If you have questions about these guidelines, please consult the Minyan Steerers. |
